Unlike commodity poultry, which is intensively farmed using questionable methods and harvested just 42 days after birth, Somerset Saxon chickens enjoy a long 90-day lifespan, during which they develop the deep, complex flavours that have made them a favourite of Michelin-starred chefs and discerning home cooks across Britian.  

Raising chickens fed the old-fashioned way produces the best-tasting (and, from what we can tell, the happiest) chicken available in Britain today. 

 

When can I expect my order?

Orders are delivered via DPD on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 8am to 7pm (Saturday delivery incurs a £10 surcharge). Orders must be placed before 9am for next day delivery, on certain days only, please read below for more info. 

When to expect your order:
If you order before 9am on Wednesday and Thursday, you will get your order the following day. 
If you order before 9am on Friday and pay the £10 surcharge, you will get your order on Saturday. 
If you place an order between 9am on Friday and 9am on Wednesday, you can expect your delivery on Thursday.
