Terms & Conditions

Aurox Meat aims to provide a superior selection of products and excellent service. Please read the following terms and conditions before ordering from Aurox Meat these terms set out what you can expect from us and the terms to which you agree to be bound when you order from us.

1. Becoming a customer
1.1 To place an order, you must be at least 18 years old, reside in our delivery area and provide a debit or credit card in your name.
1.2 We reserve the right to decline any order or to suspend your account at any time at our discretion.

2. Your account
2.1 You may set up an online account with us to make shopping with us more convenient.
2.2 You are responsible for any activity on your account. Make sure that your username and password are kept secret to prevent any unauthorised use of your account. Please inform us immediately if you believe your password has been disclosed to anybody else, or has been or may be used without your permission.

3. Contract
3.1 This website is owned and managed by Aurox Meat. When you have placed an order on the website we will confirm your order by sending you an email. This email will list the products ordered, the price and delivery information. This confirmation email is not an acceptance by us. A legally binding contract will only come into effect when we complete delivery of your order.
3.2 If you have entered the wrong email address and do not receive an emailed purchase confirmation then it is your responsibility to contact us to update your information. We are not responsible for the entering of incorrect information or issues with email delivery due to your email provider’s anti-spam systems or mistakes made when you enter your delivery address or other information.

4. Amending or canceling the contract
4.1 If you wish to cancel or change your order after a confirmation email has been sent, please call us, we will do our best to accommodate you.  In cases where we are unable to change or delay our shipment, you may be charged for the full cost of your order as well as delivery fees.
4.2 If products are out of stock or unavailable for any reason, we shall notify you and we will either send a replacement product with your order, or organise a full refund or a voucher within two working days.

5. Price and delivery charges
5.1 The price of the goods will be as quoted on the website at the time you confirm your order by clicking "Checkout" and will be inclusive of VAT (if applicable) or any other tax and, subject to paragraphs 5.2 and 6 below, delivery.
5.2 The delivery charge applying to your order shall be set out at the time you checkout. No standard delivery charge shall be applied to orders with a value of £150 or more (except during some of our festive despatch period 17th December-31st December) each year); orders below that value shall be subject to a standard delivery charge of £7.00. During our festive dispatch there may be an additional delivery charge. Note: all orders are shipped via DPD's Next Day Delivery service, and have a flat fee of £7.00.
5.3 If you amend your order prior to the cut off time to increase the quantity of items already ordered, the price charged for the additional items will be the price quoted at the time you made the original order. If, however, you are adding new items to your order, the price charged will be the price quoted at the time you amend the order. The delivery charge shall be amended and applied in accordance with paragraph 5.2.
5.4 We will debit the total cost of your order, including any delivery charge or packaging cost that may be applied, from your debit or credit card at the time you place your order.

6. Saturday delivery service
6.1 You may request our Saturday delivery service at the time of checkout. For the extra charge quoted at the time of check out, you may choose to have your items delivered on Saturday.
6.2 If for any reason DPD fails to meet deliver your order on Saturday after you have paid extra for this option, we may decide to issue a full refund of the delivery charge.

7. Delivery
7.1 We will always aim to deliver orders placed before 10:00 am Monday to Friday the following day.  Please note orders placed on Friday for Saturday delivery incur an additional surcharge.  If Saturday delivery is not specified, orders placed after 10:00 AM Friday will be delivered on the following Tuesday, we do not delivery on Sundays or Mondays.
7.2 Events outside our control, for example, epidemics, extreme weather conditions, road closures, and other force majeure events may occasionally mean we are unable to deliver your goods at the time agreed. In these circumstances, we will contact you as early as possible to rearrange the delivery time. In such an event, we will act reasonably and our liability to you shall be limited to the price of the goods ordered and the cost of delivery. It is your responsibility to provide a safe and secure delivery location. Many of our clients choose to have their orders delivered at a time when they know they will be home, or to their office during business hours.
7.3 Our Holiday delivery availability and prices are subject to change in the run up to January 1. All changes will be reflected in the checkout process.
7.4 From time-to-time delivery may take an additional day due to seasonal variations or volume. If you are ordering a special event, gift, or dinner party, we advise to always allow an extra 24 hours. Your meat will stay chilled in our packaging.
7.5 Our free standard delivery is applied to your order when you have more than £150 worth of full price items in your cart. You can have both sale or promoted and full price items in your cart, but the full price items must total £150 or more to qualify for free delivery.
7.6 Our cut off time for next day delivery is 10 in the morning between Tuesday and Friday. Orders placed after 10 am Friday will be delivered the following Tuesday, unless Saturday delivery is selected.  
7.7 It is your responsibility to inform us or DPD of any road closures and plan accordingly. 


8. If you are dissatisfied
8.1 Within reason, we guarantee the quality of all goods you order from Aurox Meat. Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery and, if you are dissatisfied, please contact us immediatly via telephone at +447497879I86 so that we can quickly pinpoint what went wrong and address the problem.
8.2 Regarding complaints about customer service, we undertake but cannot guarantee to respond to you within one working day.
8.3 Regarding complaints about the quality of the goods, we undertake but cannot guarantee to respond to you within 1 working day. Please retain all products for review in respect of any complaints, whether the product is cooked or not. In respect of complaints about meat being tough, we require photos of how the meat was sliced.
8.4 Unfortunately, in most circumstances we are unable to accept the return of any produce delivered to you but, if the goods ordered by you do not meet your reasonable satisfaction, we may, in our absolute discretion, send you a voucher for the value of the goods that have fallen short of your reasonable expectations.
8.5 We reserve the right to request the return of the goods for inspection and or quality control purposes prior to the issue of a refund or voucher. A voucher or refund may be issued once the goods have inspected and the issuance of a refund or voucher is determined by Aurox Meat to be appropriate. The Aurox Meat will cover the return delivery cost when a receipt for delivery is presented up to a maximum of £15.
8.6 Refunds may be given subject to a conversation over the phone so we can fully understand and remediate the issue. In most cases, we're willing to provide a full or partial refund if you genuinely feel it's deserved, but as we are a small business and value relationships with our customers , we kindly request to have a conversation to discuss the issues you encountered in advance of any refunds being given. This communication helps us to constantly improve our operations and fairly resolve any problems by way of a full understanding of the situation.
8.7 Occasionally the seal on a vacuum bag will become compromised. We cannot be held liable for any issues arising out of a blown vacuum bag.

9. What we will not be liable for
9.1 We will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage or loss of profits arising out of our supply or failure to supply the goods to you.
9.2 Some of our products may contain traces of nuts and other allergens. We will ensure that the contents of each product are clearly listed on our website, but it is your responsibility to ensure that you have read the information. If you require further information on allergens, don't hesitate to get in touch with us.
9.3 The goods are sold to you on the basis that you are a consumer therefore we will not be liable for any special losses that you might suffer using onward distribution or reselling the goods as part of a business.
9.4 We shall not be liable for goods once they have been delivered to the address or secure place stated in your order.
9.5 Our packaging is designed to ensure our produce reaches you in perfect condition, but it is your responsibility to ensure that all perishable goods, as soon as reasonably possible upon receipt, are transferred to a freezer or refrigerated for imminent consumption. 


10. General
10.1 These terms and conditions set out the entire agreement between us. Any failure by us to enforce any of our rights under this Agreement shall not prejudice our entitlement to rely on any of our rights in the future.
10.2 We shall not be liable for delays or failures to fulfil our obligations if that delay of failure arises from events beyond our reasonable control.
10.3 We reserve the right to change our website, policies and terms and conditions at any time, but this shall not affect the terms and conditions prevailing at the time you make a purchase.
10.4 Whilst we take the utmost care to ensure that all product descriptions, images, information and prices are accurate, we do not accept any liability for any inaccuracies, errors or omissions. Colour and shape may vary from those shown on the website. The meat featured on images on our website is not the meat you will receive, and products may vary in colour, fat colour, marbling levels, thickness, taste and smell.
10.5 This Agreement is governed by the laws or England and Wales, and both parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

11. Subscription/recurring boxes/fixed box/hamper or gift boxes - The Aurox Meat

11.1 Subscription means agreeing to a regular recurring weekly, fortnightly or 4 weekly (monthly) agreement to receive a regular fixed box.
11.2 You can cancel a subscription agreement at any time giving 72 hours notice prior to your next expected box in writing to ecomm@auroxmeat.com.
11.3 There is no cash alternative given for this promotion.
11.4 In some instances, contents may be swapped at the customer's request. The Aurox Meat has the right not to accept swap requests.
11.5 From time-to-time contents may alter due to the nature of our supply change. In such cases we will notify you of the changes.
11.6 You can add further products from the shop to your regular subscriptions box either via telephone our care team or via email to ecomm@auroxmeat.com.
11.7 Only one discounted order permitted per household.
11.8 Aurox Meat reserves the right to terminate or suspend any subscription contracts at any time.
11.9 The exact amount charged on renewals will be calculated based on offers and pricing available on the day that payment is taken.

12. Frozen goods
12.1 In order to preserve the quality of the meat we cut and then blast freeze and dispatch goods at –18 degrees. Given the nature of the packaging and delivery method, meat delivered after 36 hours from dispatch may begin to thaw slowly but this is not a problem (see FAQ’s). It is no issue to put all our meat back in the freezer once it arrives within 72 hours of dispatch. We cannot accept meat being returned to us because you aren’t willing to re-freeze it. We require you to give us a call if you wish to discuss any issues about freezing and refreezing meat.
12.2 In the event that we lack adequate quantities of frozen stock to fulfill your order, we may opt to dispatch fresh goods instead. Rest assured, this substitution will not impact the usability or quality of the goods provided.

13. Vouchers & promotional codes
13.1 Promotional codes entitle you, at the time of ordering, to a saving equivalent to the discount advertised at the time.
13.2 Aurox Meat reserves the right to decline orders where, in its opinion, a promotional code is invalid for the order being placed.
13.3 Promotional codes cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or promotions.
13.4 Some offers are not valid on sale items or other discounted products.
13.5 Promotional codes have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
13.6 Aurox Meat is not responsible and has no obligation to honour any promotional voucher code which is obtained via a third-party source.

13.8 1st time shopper codes are not valid against sale items or other marked down products. Codes are only applicable for new customers and our regular promotional terms and conditions still apply. If we think there is or has been misuse of a code, we reserve the right to cancel the promotional code. Aurox Meat reserves the right to cancel or amend the first time shopper offer at any time. Any changes will be posted within these terms and conditions. Codes cannot be applied retrospectively. Codes are limited to one use per household.

13.10 Subscription promotional codes are only valid to redeem against subscription/recurring orders. Aurox Meat reserves the right to withdraw promotional codes at any time. All standard promotional code terms and conditions apply.
13.11 Any multi-buy offer such as 3 for 2 or 5 for 4, will always deduct the cheapest item from the basket. Your order must contain all products and the basket will automatically deduct the cost for the cheapest item. Only valid on products marked as part of the promotion. Other promotional codes or offers will not be valid against multi-buy offer orders.
13.12 Gift Vouchers: gift vouchers are unique and single use only and will be received via email. Codes can be redeemed on any product. There is no cash alternative.
13.13 For multiple shop codes, specific Ts & Cs will be outlined where advertised - i.e. 1st and 2nd shop promotional codes. Our regular promotional terms and conditions still apply. If we think there is or has been misuse of a code, we reserve the right to cancel the promotional code.
13.14 Aurox Meat reserves the right to exclude certain items from promotions such as meat boxes or already discounted items.

14. Weights of products
14.1 Due to the nature of our products being free ranging, some product weights may vary slightly at time of products being supplied. Any changes to weights will be clearly communicated to the customer.

15. Shelf life
15.1 The Aurox Meat will always deliver with the shelf life as advertised on the website as a minimum. Shelf life advertised is from day of receipt.

16. Subscriptions
16.1 All subscription boxes will automatically renew every 4 weeks and The Aurox Meat will automatically collect payment through their secure payment gateway.
16.2 Subscriptions may be cancelled or paused but this must be done at least 5 days prior to the automatic payment being made. If cancellation is made after this period, the pause or cancellation will start after a final meat box has been received.
16.3 Voucher codes only specifically created for subscription will apply to the subscription boxes.
16.4 Aurox Meat reserves the right to cancel or pause subscriptions where payment has not been made. The Aurox Meat will make a reasonable effort to collect payment, but if unsuccessful, subscriptions will automatically be cancelled.
