90-day Somerset Saxon Chicken
Rediscover the Forgotten Flavours of Traditionally Raised Chicken
- Somerset Saxon Chickens develop deep, complex flavours over their long lives.
- Traditionally raised on virgin cereals, without soya or GM ingredients.
- Free to roam and forage across verdant pastures and wildflower-filled meadows.
Unless you have tasted Aurox Somerset Saxon chicken while dining at one of the country's top restaurants, your first bite will be a revelation.
Unlike commodity poultry, which is intensively farmed using questionable methods to stimulate rapid weight gain and then harvested just 42 days after birth, our chickens enjoy a full 90-day life.
Reared on a homegrown diet free from soya and GM ingredients, the Somerset Saxon enjoys a traditional course diet of virgin cereals. This stands in contrast to intensively farmed chickens raised on cheap, high-protein "modern feed" engineered to quickly bulk them up at the expense of flavour.
Raising chickens in the old-fashioned way yields the best-tasting (and, from what we can tell, the happiest) chicken available in Britain today.
After his first order, a happy customer wrote us a personal email to say his order of Somerset Saxon Chickens was:
"Delicious, completely different from any chicken I have ever eaten."
